WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - It is the 15th year for the semi-annual Rhea Lana’s Children Consignment event.
Parents piled into the Century II Exhibition Hall shopping for their little ones getting them ready for the school year.
"I mean there's a lot of, like brand new stuff with tags on it that's reduced price,” said shopper Alice Mendez who was back-to-school shopping for her kid.
Jordan Craft, also shopping for little ones, said, "It's an awesome place to go for your kids and get stuff that you need. We go every year, we absolutely love it."
An entire floor inside the exhibition hall was filled with high-quality back-to-school items.
The event helps families feeling the financial pinch and through consignment they are able to stretch a dollar.
"Those consigners make money by selling their used items whether it's clothes or baby gear or anything in their home that has to do with their family and then they turn around and get to shop and provide new things for their family," explained Rhea Lana’s Administrative Assistant Madison Wilson.
Rhea Lana’s is a nationwide franchise. Shoppers picked from a massive collection of items receiving 60 to 90 percent off.
Everything from clothes, books, shoes and more were sold.
The event began on Sunday, August 11 and will go through August 16.
