WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A Wichita man just wants his homemade three wheeler back and the thieves caught.

Mark Oakman has been building what he calls his 'toys' since he retired including a three wheeler.

"Probably had $1,500 in it, and a lot of time in on it," said Oakman.

But in a matter of minutes on July 5th it was gone. This security video shows what happened in the 5300 block of north Armstrong near 53rd street north and Arkansas.

The video shows a dark SUV pull up in front of Oakman’s garage, and then two men load the stolen three wheeler into the back.

"They were pretty bold,” said Oakman. “I could have been sitting in the garage or come out of the house. I had just walked in there."

Police and Crime Stoppers are asking you to take a close look at the SUV.

'If you look at the rear panel, it looks like it’s damaged,” said Crime Stoppers coordinator Kris Gupilan. “There's also the rear drivers side wheel, it's possibly missing or could be a donut. So that's something to take into consideration."

He says there's also a dog in the front passenger seat and it looks like the driver has a cast on his arm.

'These are some identifying things that will help someone identify who these people are," said Gupilan.

Oakman says he wants the suspects caught and the three wheeler back that he worked so hard to build.

"I hope they catch ‘em,” said Oakman. “I wouldn't mind having a chat with them."
